safe, healthy relationships for all—which requires training the next generation of advocates and influencers.
youth, and reduce risk factors—which happens through Coordinated Community Response Teams and Training Trusted Adult Allies.
Like so many compelling stories, ours started on a napkin in 2006. It began with one survivor’s bold desire to get every U.S. city to affirm their commitment to breaking the silence and cycle of domestic violence during Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October.
And it BLOOMED from there—schools, communities, and military installations across the U.S. now implement our programs. All delivering on the BOLD goal to Uproot Abuse in a generation.
Donna Bartos, inspired by her own lived experience and two decades of self-guided research, founded BLOOM365 to #Uproot Abuse—with a focus on sustainable, scalable, and youth-driven education, advocacy, intervention, and activism.
Now, our growing team of donors, sponsors, and allies includes a nationwide network of teen Peer Advocates in middle and high schools, and on college campuses; Peer Influencers in military installations; victim-advocacy organizations; police departments; elected officials; celebrities; and early-adopter partners.
To remove the barriers between violence and peace. To increase safety, healing, and well-being for this generation of youth and the next. To reach our Big Hairy Audacious Goal to uproot abuse in a generation by showing up with grit, passion, focus, and lots of love.
Empathy, respect, consent, equality, and fun (yes, FUN!). No victim blaming, ever. We honor promises by showing up.
BLOOM365 is committed to fostering a culture of #DEIAB.
Our 3-part heart logo represents the 3 groups critical to uprooting abuse in a generation:
catalyst [BLOOM365], ally [youth] and sage [trusted adults & affiliates].
Our name is our promise:
